Fisher’s History

Fisher's Transmission Center Inc. has been a part of the Norwalk community since 1956 when Lyle Fisher, Sr. first started Fisher's Garage. We’ve been right here at 15 Old State Road since 1959, serving Huron, Erie, Seneca, and Sandusky counties.

Fisher’s Transmission Center milestones:


1956 -- Lyle Fisher, Sr. starts Fisher’s Garage


1959 -- New shop built at 15 Old State Road


1978 -- Lyle Fisher, Jr. joins his father in business


1979 -- Fisher’s Garage incorporated becoming Fisher’s Transmission Center Inc.


1993 -- Lyle Fisher, Sr. retires, handing management to Lyle Fisher, Jr.


1996 -- Lyle Fisher, Jr. buys out his father’s shares


2006 -- Bob Fisher joins his brother at Fisher’s
